Asian Development Bank, gin-aprobahan ang ₱3.8 billion para proteksyonan ang Philippine coral reefs

Gin-aprobahan sang Asian Development Bank (ADB) ang $3.8 million para suportahan ang development sang insurance para sa restoration, conservation, kag management sang coral reefs sa Pilipinas kag sa tatlo ka iban pa nga pungsod sa Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Ginpahayag man sang ADB nga ang proyekto ang ginalakipan sang development of climate risk financing kag insurance solutions to protect coral reefs sa Pilipinas, Indonesia, kag Fiji and Solomon Islands.

Suno naman kay ADB financial sector group chief Junkyu Lee, ang development sang innovative coral reef financing kag insurance models sa idalum sang nasambit nga proyekto ang indi lamang para i-enhance kag i-suporta  sa effective management sang risk coral reefs, kundi para man sa pag-improbar sang climate resilience kag insurability sang coastal assets kag communities.

Nahibaluan nga magahatag man ang Asia-Pacific Climate Finance Fund (ACliFF) sang $2.5 million para sa proyekto, samtang $1.3 million naman ang iga-finance sang Global Environment Facility paagi sa Challenge Program for Adaptation Innovation.
